(Kevin Costner voiceover) The vibe is speakeasy fantastic restaurant in the heart of San Jose! Martino warmly greeted us! Went with his recommendation. The Flat Iron Steak! Delish! The IG damsel went with the Sea Bass! Super flavorful! Would order everything again! Great ambiance, fab food, yummy cuisine! Love San Jose! Thanks, Martino! Woohoo!

We're second time guests at Mosaic Restaurant and Ultra Lounge. We've had great experiences both times, from food, service, to experience. Our first visit, we decided to stop by and get dinner and wine. For appetizers we ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartar, Crab Fried Rice, and Flat Iron Steak and Prawns. The Ahi Tuna Tartar was served in a huge portion of fish and super addicting wonton chips. The Crab Fried Rice is a savory delight that perfectly balances the sweetness of crab with the richness of fried rice. The Flat Iron Steak and Prawns were delicious as well! The perfectly cooked flat iron steak is tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, while the prawns are plump and succulent, complementing the steak beautifully. Tonight we ordered pick up. We decided to order Butter Chicken, Goat Curry, Saffron Rice, and Garlic Butter Naan. We can both agree that this is one of the best Indian food we've tried in the area. The curry flavor for the Butter Chicken and Goat Curry was very flavorful and made with love. The Butter Chicken is a creamy, aromatic delight, with tender pieces of chicken simmered in a luscious tomato-based sauce that's perfectly balanced with spices and a hint of sweetness. The Goat Curry is a hearty and deeply satisfying dish, with tender pieces of goat meat cooked to perfection in a flavorful blend of spices and herbs. We highly recommend visiting this establishment for a memorable experience! They regularly host special events featuring live DJs and performances. During our most recent visit, we were pleasantly surprised by a stand-up comedy show followed by a lively DJ set for a nightclub event. Tonight's entertainment featured a Joke Battle, adding to the excitement and fun atmosphere.

The 5 stars is for the dark lentil vegetarian chili. There is a fire grilled taste to the chili, which is more chewy than expected. The chili would complement well with tortilla chips and guacamole, or with fried taro and garlic chives. The underside of the garlic Naan had an aroma that was unlike any Naan encountered before. The spinached mashed potatoes were green! Green enough for St. Patrick's Day. Green enough for Halloween. Green enough for the Wicked show at the Center for Performing Arts. Green enough to switch for the mint filling in the Oreo Cookies. And if eaten with pineapple, green enough for the Green Bay Packers.

The food quality is surprisingly good for a modest hotel restaurant. I appreciate the cook's talent for being able to make such a variety of dishes. I recommend ordering the Western-style dishes as those ones seemed to come out better, at least during my visit. The roasted chicken was very tender and juicy and the skin had the perfect level of crispiness. Even the accompanying vegetables were delicious, having absorb the juices and flavors of the chicken. The servers are friendly, but the restaurant really needs more of them. There were long waits between seeing my server because he was attending to too many tables. All in all, I would definitely come back if I was in the area.
